But after that experience, I worked out some quick methods to troubleshoot and resolve this error. Here, I have compiled them in a comprehensive guide for you.

How to Fix COD Warzone and Modern Warfare Dev Error 6034 on PC, Xbox, PS4, and PS5

Below, I’ve mentioned the troubleshooting methods for various devices that would definitely solve Dev Error 6034 for COD Modern Warfare.

1. Restart the Game and Device

The first thing you should do is restart the COD game. If that doesn’t help, you should restart your gaming system. But still, if you are experiencing the Dev Error 6034 issue, you should move on to other troubleshooting methods mentioned below.

2. Repair Game Files with Battle.net

If you have downloaded damaged or corrupted files on your PC, you can use the client scan and repair tool from the Battle.net website. To do that, you can follow these steps:  

1. Open the COD MW installation folder and delete the following files:
   • Modern Warfare Launcher.exe
   • vivoxsdk_x64.dll
   • .product
   • .patch.result 
   • Launcher.db
2. From the desktop shortcut, launch the Battle.net client.
3. Click the COD MW icon to launch the game.
4. Begin the scanning process by clicking Options > Scan and Repair > Start Scan.

Once the scanning and repair process is complete, launch the game to check whether Dev Error 6034 is resolved. If the error is still there, move on to the next solution.

3. Update Graphic Drivers (For PC)

Outdated graphic drivers can also cause Dev Error 6034 to appear. To update your PC’s graphic drivers, you can follow these steps:

1. Right-click the Windows icon and open the Device manager.
2. Double-click Display Adapters. 

3. After this, right-click on the name of the Graphic Driver and select Update Driver.
4. Then press Search Automatically for Driver.

Wait until the drivers get installed, and then launch the game to see if the issue is fixed.

4. Update Windows Operating System (For PC)

An outdated operating system could lead to several errors in your gaming system and the software you use. So, if you have an outdated OS, you can follow these steps to update it:

1. Press Windows + I keys to open Settings.
2. From the menu on the left side, select Windows Update.

3. Click Check for Updates to see if there are any updates available.

If there are any updates available for your Windows operating system, they will be downloaded automatically. After these updates are installed, you can launch the game to see whether the error has been fixed.

5. Delete Game Data Packs (For Xbox)

Reinstalling the entire game can seem really daunting. So instead, you can try removing certain game packs to fix Dev Error 6034, which has worked for me often. Here’s how to delete multiplayer game packs on Xbox:

1. Select Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with your Xbox controller.
2. Now press the menu and select Manage games & add-ons.
3. Then choose Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and select Manage installation on external drive.
4. From the bottom, uncheck the MP2 Data Pack and Multiplayer Data Pack 3 and save changes.

6. Update Console (For Xbox and PS)

Xbox

1. Open Xbox menu.
2. Select the Xbox Settings option.
3. Then press Updates & downloads.
4. Below the Updates, if you see the Console update available option, it means a software update is available for installation.
5. Select this option to start the update. 

PlayStation

1. Go to the home screen on your PlayStation.
2. Open the Settings.
3. Now, select System Software Update.
4. Allow system updates to install on your console.
5. Once the update is complete, restart the PlayStation.

7. Clear Cache

If the COD Dev Error 6034 results from the damaged or corrupt cache, then deleting it might resolve this issue. Here’s how to do that:

PlayStation

1. Long press the PlayStation button.
2. Then, select Turn Off PS4.
3. Wait for a few seconds after the PS has been powered off.
4. Restart your PlayStation 4.

Xbox

1. Hold the Xbox’s Guide button.
2. Navigate to Settings > select the Restart console > select Restart.
3. If you cannot press the Guide button, long press the Xbox button for a few seconds to shut down your Xbox.
4. Now, restart the console by pressing the Xbox button.

8. Factory Reset Console (For Xbox and PS)

If your gaming console has a corrupt OS, it can also result in COD Dev Error 6034. You can resolve this issue using the factory reset option of your console. Here’s how you can do it:

Xbox

1. Open the Settings menu of your Xbox One and select System. 
2. Press Console Info from the menu.
3. Then, select Reset and Keep My Apps & Games.

PlayStation

1. Go to the Settings menu of your console.
2. Scroll down and select Initialization.

3. Then choose Initialize PS4/PS5. This will delete everything that you have stored on your PS console.
4. Select the Full option on the same screen to reset your console completely.

9. Update the Game (For Xbox and PS)

Outdated games have bugs and glitches that cause Dev errors to occur during gameplay. So, you should update the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare game on your gaming consoles to resolve this issue. Here are the steps to update COD on Xbox and PS:

Xbox

1. Press the Xbox button to open Menu.
2. Then, select Options.
3. Press Updates & Downloads from the drop-down menu.
4. If you have selected the keep my games and applications up-to-date option, any available updates will be automatically installed. Otherwise, choose this option for automatic and saves changes.

PlayStation

1. Go to the Home Screen of your PlayStation.
2. Select the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare game.
3.  Press the Options button and click on Check For Updates. If any updates are available, they will install on your PS automatically.

How to Fix Dev Error 6034 for Multiplayer Mode in Warzone and Modern Warfare

Sometimes, the Modern Warfare Dev Error 6034 only occurs while playing in multiplayer mode. In such a case, you can perform the following two troubleshooting methods: 

1. Clear Alternate MAC Address (For Xbox and PS4)

One way to fix the COD Dev Error in multiplayer mode is to delete the alternate MAC address. To do that, you can follow these steps:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Network.
3. Select Advanced Settings.
4. Press Alternate MAC address.
5. Choose Clear.

Your game will restart once the Alternate MAC address clears. By now, the Dev error will probably go away. If not, you can try another method, which is mentioned below.

2. Change the DNS Settings of Your Console (For PC, Xbox, and PS) 

Incorrect DNS settings may also cause the Modern Warfare Dev Error 6034 while playing the game in Multiplayer Mode. In this case, you should change the DNS settings to fix the problem. Here’s how to do that:

PC

1. Search View Network Connection in the Start menu.
2. Right-click on your connected network and select Properties.
3. You need to click on Edit in front of the DNS Server Assignment.

4. Click the drop-down menu and select Manual. 

5. Enable IPv4 and type this into your browser:
   • Preferred DNS address: 8.8.8.8
   • Alternate DNS address: 8.8.4.4
6. In the case of Open DNS type:
   • Preferred DNS address: 208.67.222.222
   • Secondary DNS address: 208.67.220.220
7. After this, press saves and restart your game to see if the Dev Error is still appearing.

Xbox

1. Press the Xbox button to open Home Screen.
2. Navigate to All Settings and select Network.
3. Go to the Advanced Settings tab and choose DNS Settings.
4. Select Manual from the drop-down menu
5. Next, add the following DNS server addresses.
   • For Google DNS:
     • Preferred DNS address: 8.8.8.8
     • Alternate DNS address: 8.8.4.4
   • For Open DNS:
     • Preferred DNS address: 208.67.222.222
     • Secondary DNS address: 208.67.220.220
6. Save your changes and select Continue to check if everything is working well now.

Playstation

1. Navigate to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection.
2. Select Wi-Fi or LAN Cable, depending on how you have connected your device to the network.
3. Then, press Custom > Automatic > Do Not Specify under DHCP Host Name.
4. Click Manual under DNS Settings,
5. Now, type these DNS addresses into your browser.
   • For Google DNS:
     • Preferred DNS address: 8.8.8.8
     • Alternate DNS address: 8.8.4.4
   • For Open DNS
     • Preferred DNS address: 208.67.222.222
     • Secondary DNS address: 208.67.220.220
6. Save changes and launch the game to see whether the issue has been fixed.
